Poem: The Luminous Moon

Across a band of time and space,
Glows the moon’s radiant face,
Orbs of blue and grey rock,
Tied together by tidal lock,

Dancing through the universe,
As vast distances they traverse
Is our spaceship and satellite
Illuminated by sol’s starlight

A mere hand’s length away,
And yet we hold little sway,
Over our nearest body in the sky,
The pale luminous moon we spy,

8 billion mortal humans alive,
12 stood where life doesn’t thrive,
And all uplifted faces pine,
To bask in her brilliant shine,

Have faith and wait,
We’ll be there too,
Flying away from our precious blue,
We’ll soar into the night
We’ll conquer the sky,
The stars are our birthright,
And to the stars we’ll fly!

Hello, MONDAY!

I went outside for the rare occasion of the Supermoon, and was sitting underneath practicing my flute playing. I was struck by her radiant glow, and decided to write a poem on the spot, and here’s the result! Bonus poem! Do let me know your thoughts,
